Dreaming of celebrations and parties is to remind you of something special.
A party alludes to a time to be happy and joyful, what type of party was it?
Street party alludes to celebrating your path
Garden party alludes to celebrating a spiritual aspect
House party could be a mental or life aspect to celebrate.
High school ball alludes to an important event to celebrate, what colour dress or shoes did you wear?
Your birthday alludes to celebrating your progress in life.
An anniversary alludes to a set important date to be remembered and celebrated.
Thanksgiving alludes to being grateful, have you said what you are thankful for today?
Christmas alludes to celebrating a spiritual aspect.
New years alludes to a new start
The above suggestions are if you do not have any associations with them. If you have a different attachment to your birthday or another association with Christmas, see if it fits the message of the dream first, otherwise dreaming of a celebration or party is symbolising the ‘act of celebrating’.
You could dream of going to and/or being at a celebration or party, or there could be a scene where these come up in thoughts or dialogue. The latter is where you may be looking at a calendar or talking to someone about how Christmas is in a few weeks. Use the context of ‘when’ to help you understand when you get to celebrate!
The surrounding elements and the entire dream will show you what and why you should be celebrating.
To summarise, celebrations and parties are to remind you of something special, a new beginning, an important date, maybe to be grateful more often, a spiritual blessing is ahead of you on your path, or maybe all that inner work you have done, you should be proud and celebrate your achievements and who you are.
Dreaming of Christmas
My suggestion of Christmas and Christmas-related things is based on Mary Summer Rain’s view that Christmas symbolises a spiritual aspect.
I do not have a religious background nor was Christmas emphasized in my childhood in any way, when I used some of my associations with Christmas, they never fit the message of the dream. Upon having another dream about Christmas, with a Christmas tree on a long dining room table and Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling, I reached for my newfound gem, Mary Summer Rain’s book on dreams. I did not relate with her view of Christmas symbolising a spiritual aspect, yet it perfectly fitted that dream and every dream since when Christmas or Christmas-related things are dreamt of. Try using your association with Christmas and if it does not fit, try the spiritual aspect view and see if it completes the message of your dream.
